after trying countless products with harsh chemicals and empty promises, my search for real skincare solutions led me to create my own. within a month of using my homemade tallow balm, I saw a dramatic change in my skin: it felt healthier, happier, and naturally radiant. I realized that simplicity was the answer, and field + flora was born from my passion to share the power of pure, natural remedies.

grass fed tallow: from ethically raised, local grass-fed cows, this nutrient-rich tallow is loaded with vitamins A, D, E, and K, and essential fatty acids that deeply moisturize, protect, and support the skin barrier and hair follicle. known to naturally offer mild SPF, tallow is ideal for promoting a healthy, resilient complexion.

cold-pressed argan oil: a powerhouse moisturizer, argan oil provides deep hydration and is rich in vitamin E, helping to soften and smooth the skin and hair. It absorbs beautifully, leaving skin nourished without feeling greasy.

UMF 10+, MGO 263+ manuka honey from New Zealand: this premium honey acts as a humectant, drawing in moisture to keep skin plump and hydrated. packed with essential nutrients like iron, magnesium, copper, and zinc, it revitalizes and strengthens while adding a touch of natural glow.

these ingredients are gently steeped with herbs and then whipped into a creamy, luxurious texture.

variations

lavender & chamomile (for face): these soothing botanicals are known for their calming effects, reducing redness and helping alleviate irritated or sensitive skin. lavender and chamomile are gentle enough for problem skin, offering relief and support for a balanced, happy complexion. we do not use essential oils, but steep the whole herbs in the tallow to maximize the herbal benefits while pursuing sustainability.

rosemary, peppermint, & cinnamon (for hair): this blend of herbs stimulates the scalp, promoting healthy circulation and supporting hair growth and strength. they also add a light, refreshing fragrance that invigorates the senses.
